Annual Governance and Accountability Review 2017 - 2018

As a qualifying Smaller Authority, Walton on the Wolds Parish Council (PC) has exercised its right to exempt itself from an Annual External Audit. The External Audit has been replaced by an Annual Governance and Accountability Review (AGAR). General Data Protection Regulations

General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR) come into law in England on May 25th 2018. The new regulations require the Parish Council (PC) to take measures to ensure that it is compliant with the requirements of GDPR from that date.

The Clerk to the Parish Council has completed an initial audit of the Parish Council's files, records and procedures. The outcome of the audit is summarised below.

Grass Cutting - VIllage Greens

The Parish Council has received several complaints about the standard of grass cutting on the Greens. The Parish Council has written to Leicestershire County Council to register its dissatisfaction with the cut standard and has requested remedial action by LCC to improve the appearance of the Greens before the next scheduled cut.

Bus Route 27 Temporary Timetable

Roberts have released details of a temporary, emergency timetable for bus route 27 which serves Walton on the Wolds. Several long term road works projects are causing delays to the buses and the one hour service has been badly disrupted, resulting in inconvenience for all.
